Crush is a collaborative performance that is rooted in the process of dismantling a piano. Participants create spontaneous performances inspired by the actions, sounds, and materials inherent in the dismantling process. The duration of the performance is determined by how long it takes to take apart the piano. Afterwards, the remains of the piano are left at the gallery or museum space, along with a video of the performance event, as a living record.
