The Feral Piano is an evening of dialectical performances, which consists of three works focusing on the potentials of found and transformed pianos. McCoin and Bernstein conduct practices of repurposing abandoned instruments in order to subvert both obsolescence and accessibility in our throw-away-society. The process of hunting for, and engaging with cumbersome architecture in the age of midi instruments and engineered desuetude, supplants the piano's history as a culturally privileged, and inaccessible object.
